Commitments:

  • Help Shrewsbury continue to be a place for individuals and families to grow.
    • ​Collaborate with partners on the Affordable Housing Trust, the Housing Authority, and the Community Preservation Committee and others to continue pushing for more affordable housing options in town.
    • Continue to work to find tax relief for seniors and lower-income households who are being hit harder by inflation and rising taxes.
    • Working with the Community Preservation Committee to identify and fund projects that will uplift the community.
  • Push for a more transparent and accessible local government.
    • ​Ensure that communication and feedback with community members is clear, concise, and frequent.​
    • Work alongside the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee to strive toward our goals for a more open and welcoming community.
    • Advocate for Americans with Disabilities Act (​ADA) improvements across all public property to ensure that all can access, enjoy, and feel welcomed in our public spaces.
    • Request that the Town Clerk publicize Town Meeting attendance so residents can build trust in our local government.
  • Be deliberate in our approach to succeeding in the Town's goals with the 2030 Strategic Plan.​​
    • ​Engaged and Connected - Find and facilitate opportunities to build interest and trust in local government operations with all of our community members. 
    • Thriving - Identify ways we can expand access and awareness of social services, and work to reduce the stigma around receiving such services.
    • Prosperous - Collaborate with Town leaders, business leaders, and community members to identify zoning changes that will enhance the vibrancy of our commercial districts.
  • Continue supporting our public school system.
    • ​Collaborate with the School Committee and the community at large to ensure that our schools have the resources they need for our students.​
  • Assuring that public services in town are funded in order to provide excellent service.
    • ​​Work collaboratively with our public safety departments to address staffing level concerns to best meet the needs of our growing community. 
  • Making sure Shrewsbury's decisions are environmentally conscious and responsible.
